Hanesbrands Inc. considers a retailer to be a merchant that has a business license and a tax resale certificate in order to place Business to Business purchases of product for resale to consumers.
Wholesalers / Distributors
Hanesbrands Inc. considers a Distributor or Wholesaler to be a merchant that purchases in larger orders and has a business license and a tax resale certificate in order to place Business to Business purchases of product for resale to Retailers which in turn sell to consumers.
Drop Shippers
Hanesbrands Inc. considers a Drop Shipper to be a merchant that has a business license and a tax resale certificate in order to place Business to Business purchases of product for resale to consumers. The Drop Ship customer would not carry inventory but instead have Hanesbrands Inc. ship the orders directly to the consumer on behalf of the Drop Ship customer. The sale is between Hanesbrands Inc. and the Drop Ship customer. There are certain states that have tax laws that prevent Hanesbrands Inc. from shipping to those states without proper tax exempt status.
Military / Government
Hanesbrands Inc. expects a Military or Government customer to have a business license and a tax exempt status in order to do business. Customers set up as Military or Government must present proof that they sell to one of these 2 entities. Military or Government type of accounts are those that sell to Government agencies such as local, state, or national Government functions. These consist of schools, correctional facilities, approved contractors, national defense, etc. In most cases this customer will have a Commercial and Government Entity code (CAGE) that permits the customer to buy under this criteria.
Screen Printers / Embellishers
Hanesbrands Inc. considers a Screen Printer or Embellisher to be a merchant that has a business license and a tax resale certificate in order to place Business to Business purchases of product for resale to consumers, businesses, teams, non-profits and other entities. This customer often performs the embellishing to the purchased goods or sends to a third party to be embellished. We offer the service to ship directly to your location or to any 3rd party.
Other Type of Partners
Other type of customers Hanesbrands Inc. will consider doing business with are:
- Non-Profits – In order to be approved as a customer you must present Hanesbrands Inc. with your 501(C)(3) number. This need to be presented on the HBI tax exempt form as part of the sign up application process.
